Dave Jessop
Dave has been a noted San Diego outdoorsman for years. A former chair and member of the San Diego Fish and Wildlife Commission, Dave was involved in the Commission's original augmentation of wild turkeys, in the 1940's, to San Diego, and was party to the Commission's stocking of hundreds of thousands of steelhead, to augment those populations, that had become landlocked by the dams built in the 30's. An ardent fisher throughout, Dave has registered steelhead catches in such unlikely places as the Cudahy Slough, Wilson Creek, as well as in such traditional places as Pine Valley Creek and Boulder Creek. Twenty+ years later (May, 1968), Dave and Orville Ball--another past chair of the County Fish and Wildlife Commission--(above) and Dave's son (below) connect on another opener as the Steelhead pounders make their way up upper Boulder Creek below Cuyamaca Reservoir.

On an earlier trip, Dave's fishing buddy, Dr. Kent scored at lower Boulder Creek, above El Capitan Reservoir.
